Lydie Vareilhes
Born in Paris in 1989, Lydie Vareilhes trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School from the age of 9. There, she studied ballet with notable teachers, including Nicole Cavallin and Francesca Zumbo.
She joined the Paris Opera Ballet in 2007 and started working with Jean-Guillaume Bart. She provides her ballerina flows in famous classical works (The Concert by J. (Artifact by W. Forsythe, Genus by Wayne McGregor, a creation in which she was asked to improvise performances).
Eager to broaden her artistic horizon and to make the most her creativity, she regularly dances outside the Opera by taking part in a large panel of projects.
She is invited to dance as a soloist in France, Corsica, Spain, Lebanon in classical works (Swan Lake, Don Quixote, La Bayadère, Suite en Blanc, Raymonda, Esmeralda), contemporary pieces (Limb’s Theorem by W. Forsythe, Epiphénomènes and En attendant Emile by S. Murez, Fugitifs by Sébastien Bertaud, Charlie chantant, solo performances from composition of Charlie Chaplin) and creations (La Valse Infernale by R. Zeummes, Chaconne and Book Dance by S.
